There are major drawbacks to dentures supplied from abroad, as one of the many studies carried out on cheap dentures makes clear. According to the study carried out by the University of Bern, 80% of foreign dentures have extremely serious defects, serious enough to cause physical injury to the patient wearing such dentures.

In most cases, the warranties offered by the manufacturer contain so many exclusions in the small print that claims will scarcely ever be met. The warranty for dentures made in German dental laboratories are regulated by law and last for two years.

Another important reason for having dentures made in Germany is that the dental practice and the dental laboratory are close together, so any modifications or repairs can easily be carried out. In most cases, foreign dentures will not be repaired, reworked or extended by German laboratories.

Dentures cannot be compared with consumer goods which we buy on the principle of “cheap is cool”, and which are in many cases manufactured in the Far East. Dentures are customised products made to meet the individual requirements of the patient. They must be manufactured strictly in accordance with the requirements of the law on medical devices, using biocompatible materials.
Wellbeing is not something that should be skimped on!
